Ishikawa Prefecture Japan announced that the current “Noto Satoyama Airport” will reopen for a limited time from 7 July 2026, through the end of September 2029 as the “Noto Satoyama Pokemon With You Airport”.
It is the world's first airport to bear the Pokemon name.
'Satoyama' means that an undeveloped woodland near a village

Based on a partnership agreement aimed at bringing smiles to the areas affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, Ishikawa Prefecture and the Pokemon With You Foundation are working to implement initiatives that uplift children affected by the disaster and support tourism to revitalize the region.
